While the project remained Fier's primary focus in the years to follow, he also drummed on a wide range of albums from artists including Herbie Hancock, John Zorn, Yoko Ono, Bob Mould and Laurie Anderson; additionally, he produced sessions for performers like Drivin' N' Cryin', the Grapes of Wrath and Joe Henry.
After leaving the Feelies in 1980, Anton played on a large number of albums from artists like Longue Lizard, Laurie Anderson, Pere Ubu and many more: his discography is really vast!
His main project, however, has always been the Golden Palominos, a band he founded in 1981: he's the leader and producer, other than the drummer, in all their albums.
In 1994 he recorded his first solo album, Dreamspeed
