Drum Triggers are a devises that translate the acoustic drum sound to an electronic impulses. Drum Triggers are used live and in studio for the purpose of reinforcing or completely replacing the acoustic drum sound digitally via Midi. Depending on the type Drum Triggers can be placed on the drum skins, or the drum shells. When drums are struck, the Drum Triggers generate a voltage change and the resultant signals are transmitted to a Drum Brain for farther processing. Most of the percussive instruments in the industrial music are influenced and are heavily processed by the means of Drum Triggers.
