I hate clear resonant heads. Looks so wierd. Sonor doesn't really do it for me either. Looks sweet though.

In my opinion the set is absolutely beautiful!! I would change the drums to be wooden, and as been said before the skins... But the set it self - is Gorgeous!

Cool, but I don't think that's exactly YOUR dream set.

I own my dream drum setup. Most of my Cymbals are hand made Turkesh. Two of them, the 22" Natural Unleathed Ride and the 20" Brillant crash are my own signature series. The only differance from my real setup and my dream setup is my basses are 22" and I want 2 x 24" basses. I use A Axis Longboard Pedals on both my basses. The second Hi Hat is a Pearl remote hi hat stand with Custom K Session hats. I didn't realise I had this many cymbals until I saw them in this graph and I want two more a 12" and a 14" Splash. Ok I really do like my even love my 24 kicks. As a rock drummer I am a very hard hitter like Bonham. A dear friend legendary drummer for Bugs Henderson, Linda Wareing has a D Drum endorsement. They were in town Friday night and I went and had a nice visit with Bugs and Linda and went to see the show. As part of her endorsement Linda has a 26" kick. It is unbelievable and has a thump that sounds like a canon. If I had two of those it would be so extreme. I would possibly use all 4 kicks, my 2 x 24s and 2 x 26s but in the right place. With drums size does matter!! For instance if I could only keep 2 floor toms I would keep my 20 " Floor and my 18" Now if I did a jazz gig or studio session I wouldn't dream of using the big basses or floor toms. But you probably know that and why. Danny

This may be a shade off topic in a way, but I would love to come across one of these sets that I saw about...maybe...25 years ago. I think it was Yamaha, around a seven piece set, and all of the toms shells were horn shaped, flaring out at the bottom. The ones I saw were white and on display in Chicago, but I don't remember the store they were in.
Anyone ever seen these, or possibly play a set like this?

Tomm, I believe you are describing the fiberglass shelled drums made by Roger North (NORTH drums). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Drums

Here's my philosophy, the size of your kit should be relevent to the size of your band. If your drumming in some local punk band just starting out, you would look silly playing some freakishly huge Neil Peart kind of kit. If your in a speed metal band headlining areas, you would look equaly silly playing a four piece kit with two cymbals. My set up right now in my mind would be perfect if my band went out on tour. In due time if we were to do a major tour and headline I would feel ok with progressing to something more... impressive.
Here's what I'd like... A double bass Sonor kit in Black Red Sparkle, two or three mounted toms and two floor toms.
Paiste Rude Cymbals
A gibralter rack system and Iorn Cobra Pedals
