Submit a Drummer to Drum Solo Artist!

Chris DeRosa is a Freelance Drummer/Composer who currently lives in New York City, but his experience has taken him to many parts of the world (40 countries).

A well-versed Seasoned Studio & Live Drummer who has studied at both The Berklee College of Music where he received the Buddy Rich Jazz Masters scholarship and at the University Of Miami where he was the recipient of the Bowman Ashe scholarship for artistic and academic achievement. There he also received his Studio Music/Jazz Performance degree.

Chris Has Lectured at Marymount Manhattan College (Adjunct Professor), The NYACK School Of Music (Guest Lecturer), and is currently working at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (Staff Musician, Guest Lecturer), as well as Freelancing with some very talented artists.

As a creative drummer Chris has been featured in both Modern Drummer and DRUM! Magazines. Chris plays all styles of music (ie. Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, Pop, Afro, and Solo drumming) and has released many offerings as both a leader and a sideman. Chris has performed on among others WXPN’s (Philadelphia) “World Cafe”, WDST’s (Woodstock) “Sessions”, has toured the Middle East for the Armed Forces in support of our troops, and toured China as part of a Jazz Cultural Exchange.

Chris Is Endorsed By Vic Firth Drumsticks, Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drum Heads, Brady Snare Drums, RhythmTech, and Grover Pro Percussion and is interested in live, touring, and studio work.

  • 2) In the Drum Wiki Search Bar (On the Bottom of your screen) - type the name of the desired category exactly as it is listed, than colon and than the musicians or the band name, hit the search Go button. That will take you to your future, empty at the moment page.
  • 3) Press “Create this page” button and submit your article text and media files.
