Samantha Maloney began drumming at an early age of 14. It wasn’t long after then; Samantha took her musical career to the next level. She attended the High School of Music, Art and Performing Arts, (FAME) in New York City. For the next three years she studied percussion extensively. During this time Samantha was playing regularly with an alternative rock band, an R&B band, and a New York Hardcore influenced band. At the age of 16, she auditioned for the band Shift as a fill-in, but they loved her so much that she remained the drummer. She has since made two independent records on Equal Vision Records and one major label debut on Columbia Records which was released last September. This was only the beginning of what was to come.
After several years of Rocking out with Shift, she joined up with Courtney Love acting as the backbone of the band Hole. Only 22 years old, Samantha was on the road with Hole and touring extensively. Two years later, Samantha filled in for ailing drummer Randy Castillo of Motley Crue.
