Hey man, thanks for the comments on my recent blog about vintage drums. I would absolutely LOVE to see your kit.
I know it must be a fanastic feeling to set behind them and play them.

Regarding the marching snare that doesn't exist. Here is an idea that you might consider as a Plan B.

www.DrumMaker.com located here in Nashville has the Vistalite shells including the smoke color. I know Ludwig hardware is easily found. So you could consider the satifaction of actually creating the exact size drum with the exact stainer you wanted.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that thought with you.
