This was taken at a concert that was headlined Ronnie McDowell. That's Gene Hughes, the lead singer for the Casino's (Mega Hit "Then You Can Tell Me Good Bye")sitting on the floor in front of the off-stage rehearsal room drums. He passed away in 2005 but he was a great entertainer and very savy record producer. It was a blast singing the harmonies with him and rehearsing the band for the arrangements we would use for the Casinos show. I remember this particular concert was an outdoor venue. I told everyone "it's just too hot out there under those stage lights tonight so I'm wearing shorts on stage so the women can see my sexy legs!. We all laughed and I just grabbed my sticks, put on a stage shirt and I was ready to go on. I also remember that the first time was wore those athletic terry cloth wrist bands because sweat was poring down my arms and I didn't want to drop a stick. After that they became a standard wardrobe option for me. Isn't it neat just how many memories a simple photo can bring back to you.
