Hi Pasha,

Thanks for the welcome note. It was nice to be greeted.

I plan to learn a lot from those who visit here.

As for me, I've been playing drums off and on since I was a kid. My older brother inspired me and taught me the basics. He was an awesome drummer. It's a shame he doesn't play anymore. Life, kids, job...

I'm currently taking a sabatical until I can settle after moving. I plan to rejoin our band in January.

Anyway, even though I've played, I never knew much about tecnique or even what it means to 'tune' drums. I can tell when they sound bad, or cheap, but never learned to tune them. It's like a guitar with a bad string - I can hear it, but can't tune it. This was the main reason I looked up this site.


I also don't want to bother anyone, so what is the best place to get good info?
