What is your preferred drum kit wood?
Maple
Birch
Oak
Another wood not mentioned above
witch drummer is beter?
peter chris
ringo star
how should the top and bottom drum heads be tightened?
the same tension for both top and bottom heads
the top should be tighter than the bottom head
the bottom head should be tighter than the top head
or it just don't matter
When backing other artists on their tunes, I typically
play what I think is right for the tune, but that always includes doing some things that leave my musical signature on the tune too.
play what I think the tune needs, and if there is room for me to add my own personal embellishments without killing the groove or vibe, then I do that too.
play only what seems to be needed….no flashy stuff or ego satisfaction.
play every tune with the intent of putting some killer drum fills and unique patterns into it.
What best describers your typical live performance attire?
Suit , Sports Jacket or tuxedo
Kind of a very causual jeans, tee shirts, sneakers thing
Same pants or shirts I'd wear anywhere else
Extreme colors and patterns for stage wear only
How hard a hitter as you?
I beat the crap out of them with no mercy - the drum and cymbals take a lot of punishment
I play hard enough to break sticks a lot - I can also sometimes bust a head
I play solid but don't think I'm a heavy hitter - I don't usually break sticks
I don't play hard or loud, more soft to medium - sometimes I'm asked to play louder
