Retired. Basement drummer playing along with jazz and big band CD's. Been playing drums for 45 years. Early influences: Sandy Nelson, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Louie Bellson, Joe Morello and Cozy Cole.
Favorite drummers today are Jeff Hamilton and Steve Smith.
My take on things: Today's drummers can drum circles around my influences with the exception of Buddy. My only advice - less speed and more rhythm.
