hi, i am currently borrowing some paiste 802s (i think they're now discontinued) and although they're not amazing i like their sound and am interested in buying them. ive spoken to the person im buying from and they told me to make an offer...

this is for second hand 802... 16" crash, 14" hi hats and 20" ride.

what sort of price would you offer if you were buying it?

its a bit of a stab in the dark about how much they're worth cos they're discontinued now...

inspect them thoroughly for hole wear and cracks, especially the crash cyms.  If you like the sound they provide, then they are easily worth what you offer.

Yeah, you could offer more, but you may be negating the intentions behind the kind person which loaned them to you.  I think if you offer a price that is fair to you both, you shall have a nice set of cyms and a solid friendship which both of you may benefit from in the future.
