We just came home from Manhattan, we watched The day the earth stood still... - I think it was not bad, although my wife liked it more than I did... So I guess it was not bad at all

I am deaf in one ear, with hearing loss in the other so I usually have a difficult time with movie theaters. When we watch movies at home we can do close captioning and I can follow the story better. I never enjoyed any of the Hobbit movies or Potter movies until I saw them a second time on TV. However, I really do enjoy the newer 3D technology on big screen, like Journey to the Center of the Earth. I don't care about the quality of the story because just being there is so much fun!

As long as the wife is happy that is all that matters.

I watched Journey to the center of the earth last night and was extremely dissappointed. The colors, the level of 3D was no where near the level in the theater.

Just watched the Recent Batman movie, it was cool, though I did not care for Batman's forced deep voice.

I have a large number of favored movies...probably 12 at #1. Batman begins was the best of any Batman flics I've seen. I just watched Spiderman3 for the 2nd time yesterday, except when he was playing Joe Cool, it was a kick-ass movie. Another of the best @1s would have to be Ali.

Hi,
One of my favorite movies is "Airheads". Anyone who has been in a band and tried to "make it" can relate. It is FUNNY!!!!

I really like the Death Wish movies where Charles Bronsan would dispense with all the legal red tape and just blast away at the street thugs that he knew had maimed, murdered, raped innocent and defenseless victims. I realize that he also broke the law by electing himself as the judge and jury.....but it's still kind of a Robin Hood type of justice fantasy to me. I also love to watch the final scenes in the movie "Commando" where Arnold goes onto the island fortress of the evil dictator that kidnapped his pre-teen daughter; and proceeds to kill the hell out of every single person in his rouge army. Just seems like you only have to kidnap his little girl once, to really piss him off.
