I believe I know the answers to Don's question about the foot stomping, but I don't want to spoil the fun for others who are researching this trivia question.
I am, however, going to share some information about
Dave Clark's Rogers drum set
. Hope some of you find this link interesting.

Hi,
OK, I guess that's enough time. The reason The Dave Clark Five stomped their feet is because they were all drunk when they recorded the song. They had to stomp their feet so everyone could keep the time.
They released the song that way, and everyone was copying the stomping thinking it was some kind of cool new idea in music.
Next question:
What do the words in "Whiter Shade of Pale" mean?

Hi,
First, the answer to "What do the words to 'Whiter Shade of Pale' mean"
The answer: They don't mean anything.
In answer to who has the most expensive drum set. That is an easy one. It's obviously Sticks Snerby. If I remember correctly, he has the 1877 piece El Dorado-Super-Delux Red, White, and Blue diamond pearl Special-combination Gretsch-Tama-Ludwig-Rogers-Slingerland-Yamaha-Pearl-DW- Vintage-Masters set with the gilded diamond-ruby-emerald studded embossing. (He lived next door to Liberace for a few years)
Besides that, he also not only has one, but two Wowie Zowie Super Set Run-Abouts. He rides them sort of like Annie Oakley used to when she was in Wild Bill Hickok's "Wild West Show". Handling two Zowies at a time makes it more difficult to play and drink beer at the same time, but carn sarn it, he does it.
Unfortunatly, the set cannot be found which means verifying the acutal existence of Stick's set is going to be difficult because it is believed to have been abducted fo some really wierd aliens in a really wierd UFO. Unfotunatly, that can't be verified either.
That could possibly mean he would be disqualified. In that case, I guess someone else would get the title of "most expensive drum set", but I don't know who it would be.

Hi,
I don't think I got that one correct, but I'll have a go at another one.
Question: What instrument did Alex Van Halen play before he switched to the drums?

Guitar and from what I read he was pretty darn good.
What brand of guitar is Pete Townshend's favorite. Acustic and Electric.
