first of all i want to say hello to all of you. i'm new here.
second, a bit about why io joined this forum and why i even opend this thread.

i write music on my pc, using software only. i have recently started making a sort of nu-jazz (while before i was dabbling in drum'n'bass and illbient). and i want my beats to sound real, natural, authentic even if they're sequneced one-shot samples.

this is what i need you do to, if you're kind enough. download this short loop, listen to it and tell me ho authentic it sounds. first of all groove-wise (if it's robotic/synthetic or not) sencondly, as i have no theoretical music training what-so-ever, you could tell me what i need to change/add/remove for the beat to actually give you the impression it was played by a real-life drummer on a real-life drumkit.

This could be fun. Well i could do it if you. I cant do it right now, becuase im in a state of mind in which i wont have a good judgement on something like that.

But, if it turns out to be a big failier, all is not lost. Why doesnt someone who has a kit with a close-to-good recording set up, play the beat, at the same tempo, and record it. Then you wouldnt have to worry if the beat is real sounding aswell. Just an idea.

Just an idea.

ive had a listen, and i would say yes, it sounds like a real drum kit. Thats quite immpressive to think that it came from a computer. Well done!
