Folks Please help,

Normally I can pick out from a recording ( as a sample ) basically whats going on with a pattern.
However one has never really come up as a requirement in any live scenario until recently and despite hearing it everywhere in blues and soul recordings I can't get it.

Right hand in 4/4 swing time, on the beat bass gets a lift from left hand playing swing beat accents.
It's a classic but I dont get it - gah! help!

Try scoring the measure(s) in question, then read it: vision yourself as how you would do it; tap it out with your fingers until you feel the groove that makes it fit your style; get on your kit and do it slowly.  If you can't score, get some help from someone who can, and if you don't read drum score...learn...it will be a major factor in the future.
