anyone tried or succeeded or failed or whatever....with Joe Stronsick's Ballistic Bass Drumming techniques?

i've been trying for a while, i guess my brain is so used to doing something a certain way for 30 years, its hard to change.

Well one of his packages deals with the heel/toe bass drum technique. It works really well. However Joe could have easily made the information available with only one cd making the package cheaper I think. This is an old technique used by Steve Gadd and others but it has to be worked on like ewerything else.

If you make use of his practicing tips you should be on the right track.

hang in there:)

I have to add to this though. I dissagree with Joe that the heel/toe technique should be used as an allround technique. I use a slide and I play heel down and I only use heel/toe for doublestroke rolls and paradiddles. If you have questions regarding this technique IŽd be happy to discuss it in detail if you want. Many of the principles for the hands allso apply to this.
