not sure what you mean. Im guessing your talking about the tabs having "Intro" written on the start of them, Right?

It just means intro....the introduction to the song. Thats it i think.

And by the repeat sign, do you mean the ":|" thing, or the "%" thing?....

The :| just means repeatwhat ever is before it. Im not sure how far in the music before the sign that takes you tho.

the % thing that is sometimes put in the middle of bars with no notation just means you repeat what was in the last bar that did have notation. It just saves the guy writing out the same beat for 50 bars (if the song had a 50 bar beat that is...tho it is unlikely)

ahh,
if their isnt a tabbed intro, you just play what ever you think is a good intro. Just like when it says "solo" you play what ever you think is a good solo.

Listen to the drums in songs to get some ideas for intros.

i think you could relate to this better if you can read regular percussion music, but if nothing is written at a certain part, dont play.  the intro is the introduction, yes, but one where there is no drums. they will have tabs written wherever you are supposed to play.  listen to the recording of the song that you are trying to play while you look through the tabs.  it helps alot.
