Hmmm favourite drummer has got to be Thomas Lang saw him in a clinic a month ago and it was amazing. Second would have to be Dave Weckle, love playing along to his stuff especially stuff from his "contemporary drummer plus one" book If anyone hasn't heard or seen any of these two i would seriously recomend it.

Hey,

yeah i think im sorted thanks, I think im gona go with the Roland SPD-S or something along those lines. Seems to do everything im lookin for. The only thing about things like the roland td-6 is are they not designed more for a full electronic kit? where as Im still gona use my acoustic kit but could use a few trigger pads for all my electrical needs.

yeah. well cheers guys I think thats just about everything. If I come across any more dilemas I know were to go. So just to keep conversation going. What modules and triggers would anyone recommend? I mean I'm only looking for a few trigger inputs on the module but anything with a large memory will do.

Cheers

Okay I'll try explain myself a bit better though I think I've got the idea. Say if i wanted to play along to a song could I upload this song onto a Roland drum module? and then could it be activated through a trigger pad. I know that the roland module plays back different sounds but could it play back a whole song? I think i'm still struggling to make myself clear! Sorry guys and thanks for all help so far!

Well a couple of months ago I went to see a drum clinic and one of the guys who supported played with backing tracks which he reffered to as samples. He told us he had made them himself and he was activating them through drum triggers. It had quite alot of resembelance to a drum and bass style of music. How would I go about doing this? Hope thats clearer.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm looking to buy something that would allow me to incoperate samples into the band I'm in. I've tried looking on websites and so far I think I'll need a drum module such as a Roland TD-6V and one or two trigger pads. Would this allow me to create samples? Is there anything else i need to get aswell as these things? Am I on the rights lines to getting what I'm looking for? Any help would be greatley appreciated!

Cheers
