Don, sorry for the time it took for me to reply, - I am going through all my mail now and will reply in a bit. (been out of town for a few days and me and my wife - we had this agreement going about me not getting online during that time  Lips sealed)
2  Web Site / Web Site Updates, Suggestions, and Support / DSA has been compromised... :( on: March 31, 2011, 03:21:10 AM
I am really sorry to say that on march 30th Drum Solo Artist has been hacked and some code has been inserted to sites pages.

Investigating the issue our IT department has learned that site was hacked a few month prior but the virus started showing itself only on the 30th...

As of right now the site appear completely clean and virus free, nevertheless I am keeping an eye on everything and will take a prompt action if needed (if situation repeats itself)

The bad news is that because of all that, I had to reload the entire site from backup dating march 26 so a few images may be lost.

I am really sorry, but there is no way to get them back and I hope that everyone will agree that it is better to be clean and safe, than sorry.

5  Web Site / Web Site Updates, Suggestions, and Support / New Server is up... on: February 27, 2011, 12:04:38 AM
Hey everyone, we just finished transitioning to new server, and I checked all parts of the site and from the first glance everything seems to be working normally.

Please let me know if anything does not work as expected or as before  Grin

Also, just in case something that you have submitted did not transfer to the new server, (which should not happen, but possible if your submission was right at the time of transfer), in this case, just submit it again... (If that happened, I apologize for the inconvenience)

Overall the site should be MUCH faster, enjoy!

SLimm, your post was not answered not because you are new, just give it some more time...

We welcome any drummers new or old on this forum without any "behind thoughts" about any of the members!

I wish I could be of more help, but I know very little about hand drums myself... Sad

Sounds good, although for the very few first seconds there I thought I am listening to a Dream Theater or Symphony X side project... Huh

Anyway we dont allow videos or self promotion links on this forum - it is discussion only, and this post is the only exception I will make to this rule.

Thanks

16  Web Site / Web Site Updates, Suggestions, and Support / Re: Drum Setup Application Development on: April 14, 2010, 02:21:36 AM
Just a short note to all users that the Drum Kit Setup application is out, and everyone is welcome to create one... Or as many as you desire!

All kudos for this amazing application goes to Reno!

Create Your Drum Setup by following to Drum Setup List and clicking Create Drum Setup link.

PS: users who had their drum setups done on the legacy version can still get to their legacy drum setups by following:

http://www.drumsoloartist.com/wiki/setup/USERNAME - obviously replacing USERNAME with your Drum Solo Artist username.

PPS: we also would like to thank those who participated during the BETA testing and helped us make this application better by creating a few setups and by doing that, showed us all the down sides that needed to be fixed.

Cheers

21  General Chit-Chat / General Chit-Chat / Re: 3 Things Only A Drummer would know? on: April 04, 2010, 02:30:52 PM
3 things any drummer knows:

Buddy Rich was not the rich body who owned Studio 54!

Most of todays drum skins are not made of singers who can not sing well! - But probably should be...

China trash does not mean Chinese trash metal!
22  Drum Forums / Drum Forum - Drum Talk - Drums and Drum Setups / We have something VERY exciting coming up! on: April 03, 2010, 11:57:07 AM
Reno and I were working on the new drum setup creator, and it is almost ready and will be released very soon.

It is nothing like you have seen out there on the net, it is exciting, simple, intuitive, and produces a professional drum setup scheme!

Along with that there will be a new drum setup list, with really easy manageable unlimited setups per user with the ability to have "active" and "hidden" drum setups, and lots more other cool functions.

My question today is:

What do we do with the old drum setups that were created on older system?

The older system is completely self contained, which means we will not have the ability to convert the existing setups to the new one.

So share your thoughts, or vote!

Should we just scrap all existing drum setups and start from an empty page? - of course I will email all users with the older setups that the change is coming.

Or should we have 2 systems running and the second would be available ONLY for those setups that are already there?

Thanks a lot!

24  General Chit-Chat / General Chit-Chat / Re: 3 Things Only A Drummer would know? on: March 29, 2010, 12:12:20 AM
My try:

Most todays drum skins are made from plastic.

Louie Bellson is a jazz drummer.

Sony does not produce any drum sets.
