Do you ever look at …..or participate in the Drum Solo Artist website polls?  Personally, I find it very interesting to read them and get an idea of the readers’ feelings about certain topics and questions.

Needless to say, these numbers can change with additional responses from the DSA readers.  Likewise, we might see some trends indicated too.

From what is currently posted you might conclude that the typical respondant plays a 5" or 5 1/2" depth snare drum with a 22" diameter bass drum and uses a kit with more than 7 drums.  They play either Zildjian or Paiste cymbals and use both the matched and traditional grip.  They do not classify themselves as "heavy hitters".  They prefer either metal, alternative or jazz, and tend to use one single brand of drum head for all of their drums.   Roll Eyes Huh Shocked

It is also supposed that 2 have ridden in a UFO, 16 have a memory of their past lfe, 6 need trucks to move their drums kits, over 20,015,817 like chocolate chip cookies, 8 can't decide what to name their new band, 18,923, 677 have a girl who is pissed at them, 8,621 made their own drums, and one of them is trying to eliminate his drum's "donk" sound.  Grin Cheesy Wink

At any rate, the DSA Polls are another feature on this website that you might find interesting.  Perhaps you may have a question for the poll also.

Oh yeah....they best way to get rid of that bloody donk sound to just tune your drums better. Tongue
