I got a Supra on trade about  a year ago. It sounds great but isn't the sound I'm looking for. Everyone on craigslist seems to want to trade me some beat up old zbts or hardware.

To find a good selection of snare drums and have the flexibility of the trade-in value of your snare drum, my best recommendation is to visit a major drum shop.  Even if it is bit of a drive for you, the major drum shops will have a large selection of snare drums you can play and evaluate for your needs.

Until you compare various models you won't really know which snare drum "really does "it for YOU.
