Hello fellow Drummers, Im currently putting together my first custom kit and I have a few questions for someone that has had some experience with staining or toning the wood and also what kinda laquers or finishes they have used! I'd like to do a brite cherry tone or candy apple red tone with a dark red to black fade to the outside. after that Im looking to put on 10-12 coats of laquer of some sort. I need to know what laquers will stand up to the terrible temperature extreme's my kit will go through playing in such a desolate cold place. If anyone could help me out I'd be greatly appreciative for it!! Thanks and have a great day
