Im surprised that so many people are learning SOAD on drums. Does anyone know how the tamborine is being hit in the chorus of BYOB. It doesnt seem physically possible without having a pedal attached to the TB but you would need that left foot anyways for the opening and closing of the HH in that part. I can play Toxicity, Science, Chop suey, Ddevil, Cubert,  sad statue, and Highway song. thats about it. Lips sealed

wow...i never noticed this topic...

remember that records often have sounds that are added. John may well have just put that over after.
Also remember that serj (lead singer) has a free hand.

At the moment im getting my fingers around Toxicity. I can play it, but it isnt right, so im learning it the transcript way. And take a look at Aerials, cos thats a good song to play.

Now im sinking into the world of hypnotize...this is an insane album!

Im not acctully sure. I would say Aerials, cos ive just looked at that and ive found it quite easy, and it teaches you a nice fill. But im not sure if it would be too hard for you...

i learnt some stuff from chop suey and that help a lot.

But im not sure what song you could do. Do you have a lot of there songs? Because it would probably be better just listening to see what you think you could do.

I honestly cant find a song that has a simple, easy beat all the way through. Sorry i couldnt be more help.

Oh my god! I love system of a down!
I need to learn some beats to their songs. If there is anywhere online that has Hand-written beats or drum tabs to their songs, please tell me.

sorry about being random.. lol.
I personally like The album "Toxicity" better than Hypnotize and mezmerise<(I think that's how you spell it) correct me if im wrong.

you wont find any drum tabs on the internet that you can download i dont think.
I got the toxicity one at my drum store. Its quite common.

I dont like to compare the albums...all have good and bad points. One thing i do know is, Steal this album is very underrated.

I haven't played system since mezmerize came out.... I miss it Sad, regardless john is at heart a jazz drummer he gives off that feel. LP makes a tambourine you can clip on to the spike of the high hat, he may have been using one of those, but more likly he jsut dubbed it over, like daron dubbed 4 guitar parts over in nuguns and serj always harmonizes with himself Tongue

System is pretty easy stuff once you get your hands on the feel. be sure to learn rim shots correctly Cheesy took me a bloody eon to figure out how he was playing them

Ive had one crack at it, and it confused me! So i just changed it to how i find it easyer to play, but it still sounds about the same. If you want help doing it the easy way, just ask!
