louie Bellson on this website. I’ve discussed meeting him via Larrie Londin, and about some of the tips he shared about using double bass drums, and also about just how “far ahead of his time” he was with his drum set-up. It is sad, that on February 14, 2009; at the age of 84, that he left us. He was not only a great drummer and bandleader; he was also a great teacher and musical educator.
