I've been playing drums for almost 2 years now. I don't get to practice as much as I'd like to because I work a lot. I originally started on guitar but always wanted to play drums. Shannon Larkin (Godsmack) is the reason I started playing drums. I learned to play drums by observing other drummers, watching "How To.." DVDs, and playing along to music (Nirvana, Audioslave, Metallica...)
