2001 - Wicked Tinkers
We play the music of the Scottish Highlands; proud, stirring, passionate and spice it with the Celtic tunes of Ireland and the many countries graced by the Gaelic sound. We are WICKED TINKERS, the roving pipe-and-drum band who blend the ancient art of Highland bagpipes with the primitive, driving rhythms of drums. The WICKED TINKERS have wowed audiences all across the USA and abroad. They have performed at festivals, fairs, corporate gatherings, parades, and private parties including a Christmas gala for Billy Connolly. You may have seen the TINKERS on TV in the drama "High Incident," on the recent Dixie Chicks music video "Ready to Run," and for the Chabad National Telethon. They made the TV news three years running as the lead-off band for the infamous Doo-Dah Parade in Pasadena, California. The TINKERS' five CD's have sold over 65 thousand copies world wide. Not bad for folk music.
