Bob Siebenberg

Bob Siebenberg, also known as C. Benberg, is a member of the so-called Supertramp 'classic lineup' playing drums and percussions.

His style of work is very remarkable as an example of capability of doing progressive rock drummer's job. After the departure of Roger Hodgson, Rick Davies recruited Mark Hart of the ex-Crowded House to join Supertramp. Bob Siebenberg's son Jesse joined the band since It Was The Best Of Times (live; 1999) but also appears on some concerts and albums released more recently
Beginning in 1982, Bob assembled a list of musicians to contribute to his first solo project, "Giants in Our Own Room" . Released in 1985, Bob found moderate success but lots of interest in his solo work in Canada, and throughout the European Marketplace. Never released in America, but imported, it had limited exposure. Joining Bob on this record were Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy, Steve Ferris of Mister Mister, Procol Harum drummer B. J. Wilson , Kerry Hatch of Oingo Boingo and John Helliwell. An old friend, Derek Beauchemin joined in to co-write and play keyboards.

Encouraged by the acceptance of his first effort, Bob started developing plans for a second record. Beginning in 1986, Bob started writing and assembling musicians to contribute to "The Long Shot" . "The Long Shot" was released to the European marketplace in 1989, again achieving encouraging results, but never released in Canada or the U.S. Joining Bob and his writing partner Dennis O'Donnell on this project were Mark Hart, Brad Cole, John Helliwell, Marty Walsh, and again, Scott Gorham, on guitar, co-wrote one tune.

Bob is currently working on a new batch of songs at his home in California. The working title on the project is "The Glendale River".
