Twist Turner
Legendary Chicago blues drummer Twist Turner has worked with a virtual who's who of the blues, everyone from Jimmy Reed to former members of the Rolling Stones. At the age of nineteen Twist moved to Chicago and was quickly embraced by the local blues scene. Twist found himself in such great demand that he was working nearly everynight of the week with his musical idols. By the age of 22 Twist had managed to get one of the most prestigious gigs in Chicago, the house gig at Theresa's lounge with the legendary Jr. Wells, a gig he kept off and on for more than 2 years.
Twist has done a fair amount of recording having appeared on more than 50 records with blues and R&B legends Andre' Williams, Hip Lankchan, Big Mojo Elem, Little Mack Simmons, Jo Armstead, The Eldorado's, Sunnyland Slim, Taildragger, Robert Plunkett, Paul Jones(Manfred Mann), Emery Williams Jr., Little Arthur Duncan, Prez Kenneth, Easy Baby, Dick Taylor(origional member of the Rolling Stones), Rev. Charlie Jackson, Eddie Shaw and many more.

Many artist's have recorded Twist's original songs some of these artists include Otis Clay, Maurice John Vaughn, Shirley Johnson, Lee Shot Williams, Birdlegg, Country Pete Mc Gill, Robert Plunket, ZZ Hill Jr., Emery Williams Jr. and others.
Twist currently runs a recording studio in Chicago, and spends most of his time producing and engineering in the studio, occasionally taking a select gig.
