Jason Patterson

A drummer since age four, Jason has played professionally for the more than 20 years. For eight years, starting in 1982, Jason played up and down the East Coast performing many styles of music including rock, country, and cover tunes. Jason toured and recorded with Nantucket from 1986 until 1989.
In 1990, Jason teamed up with guitar whiz Audley Freed and bassist Robert Kearns to form the band Cry Of Love. After an extensive search for the right singer, and on the strength of our self produced demo, the band was signed by Columbia Records in 1991.
Cry Of Love's first Columbia release, "Brother", yielded two #1 AOR tracks, "Peace Pipe" and "Bad Thing." The resultant World Tour lasted 16 months and found us sharing stages with everyone from Aerosmith to Robert Plant to Paul Rogers to ZZ Top, along with headlining dates throughout The States and Europe.

Cry Of Love played several of the largest European Festivals, including England's Donnington Festival (75,000 in attendance). During the tour they did three videos for "Peace Pipe", "Bad Thing", and "Too Cold In the Winter", all were shown on MTV. Cry Of Love's second release, "Diamonds and Debris" was released during the summer of '97. After a U.S. tour in support of the album the group disbanded.
In 1999, Jason moved to Austin Texas to join The Chris Duarte Group. In 2001, after one album and extensive touring Jason left Chris Duarte to pursue other interests.
